You have to take courageous decisions to design your life. Designing something new to keep you moving forward.
Whenever a person or a company emerges from the crowd and shines, onlookers are quick to attribute that to 'good luck', 'in the right place at the right time', ...right?
BUT the person doing the achieving counters that with,
"It's a product of some talents but a lot of hard work!"
Luck is the residue of design and hard work. Are you planning for it?
Grasp your moment, your opportunity, otherwise you will look back with regret. Your moment will have come and gone.
My father was a doctor, even though he grew up in poverty in Pakistan where his parents would go without food just so their children could eat. All four of my father's brothers followed their father and became factory workers, but not my father.
Was that luck? NO!
Was it the result of hard work? HELL YES!!
When you start on your road of opportunity you will have 'nay-sayers' around you. You will have people trying to kill your dream. You will be given every reason why your idea can't work and won't work. You will have your self confidence undermined.
Being an under-dog is so invigorating.
Nobody ever accomplished anything by believing the 'Nay-sayers'
It's those who travel the road less traveled that create new industries, invent new products, make an impact on the world, leave a legacy and inspire others to be the best they can be.
Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.
