Do You Have A Someday Mentality Verses Consistent Action Mentality?

Posted on 1 June, 2016 at 6:55

As we approach the half way mark of the year News Years day seems like it was yesterday, doesn't it?

Do remember the goals you set yourself and how you visualized your 2016 to be?

Well how is it all working out for you my friend?

Are you still hoping and praying that your someday is just round the corner?

Someday when I have the money, the confidence, the time, the skills, when my ship sails in etc etc..

How many of those have you said in your life, and how many do you still say?

"Someday doesn't exist. Never has and never will.

There is no someday. There's only today.

Real superman don't leap over buildings in a single bound.

They take small, determined steps consistently over time."

When tomorrow comes, it will be another today.

By the way, your ship's not coming in, it's already here, docked and waiting.

You already have the time, money, skill and confidence.

You already have everything you need to get everything you want.

The reason you can't see it is simply because you are looking in the wrong place.

You are looking at your life with a lottery players mentality. But have you ever wondered when you do see lottery winners how it's never people who are already successful, company CEO's etc? Because they don't play that game!

Success isn't some random accident with a someday, fingers crossed mentality. That is not how life works my friend.

William Wilberforce introduced bill after bill to the British Parliament to end slavery, only to have it rejected over and over again for 18 yrs (1788-1806). Then 3 days before his death in 1833 Parliament passed that bill, not just in Britain, but in other Parliamentary states too.

Three decades later and Abraham Lincoln went through the same obstacles.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.

- Abraham Lincoln

These were achieved by taking consistent action over a period of time, and not hoping someday it would happen.

So the question I have you is, are you taking the action you know you need to be taking that will get you to the finish line, or are you just blowing smoke up your a$$ so to speak?

Here's to your Empowering life
